About Us
Brooke and Aaron Wright started One 17 Foundation in 2016. They had a vision to fund 1000 adoption stories by 2050 by creating a ripple effect of care. One 17 was able to fund over 30 grants by 2023 and helped many families grow throughout that time.
In 2023 the torch was passed to the Rains Family. Who are close friends of the Wrights, supporters of their mission and a family that was completed via adoption.. We are honored to continue the work pursuing this vision.
The Rains Family has 3 core values: Generosity, Hospitality & Justice. At the intersection of those 3 values we found our mission.
We plan to give $1,000,000 for children who are abused, under-served, and orphaned around the world by 2030.
One 17 has always been close to our hearts. Tracy (Mama Rains) has been on the board of One17 since the beginning. It ultimately led to us adopting Tricy Lorena, our beloved, sassy, Colombian diva, and the final addition of the Rains Family.
